Nitric Oxide

Nitric Oxide is a gas produced naturally in the body through exercise and through certain foods. Supplements that help the body in producing NO usually contain arginine which is also found in many foods such as meats, eggs, and nuts. 

Spinach and Beets are particularly helpful in increasing levels of nitric oxide in the body.

NO affects the release of hormones and adrenaline and can speed growth and recovery by helping the flow of blood bring nutrients to muscles. If you have an injury you may want to consider an arginine supplement to quicken your recovery. As in all things be careful not to overdo, as too much can be harmful.
