Kai Greene How to do curl exercises properly
This video shows the correct way to target the biceps muscles in curl exercises.
You don't have to use super heavy weight create a lot of intense focus on the muscle. You can work out with light weights and, by getting full contraction on the muscles, really see some muscle growth. For example in curls I love to do heavy weight sometimes to make it interesting, but itís also important to take some light weights and lower and raise the weight all the way down and up to fully contract the bicep muscle.
The video lesson basically is if you are primarily focused with building your body then go with weights that are light enough to perform the exercise using correct technique, and yet still heavy enough to tax the muscles sufficiently. For power lifters you probably want to do some extra heavy cheat reps from time to time. Personally, I love to keep mixing it up to shock my body, but there is a lot to be said for doing exercises with lighter weight. For one it's a lot easier on the body and lowers the chances of injury.
