Tae Bo Ultimate Bootcamp Workout Review

Buy Billy Blanks: Ultimate Bootcamp at Amazon
Ultimate Bootcamp is a great workout from seven-time World Martial Arts Champion Billy Blank. Consider it a little more advanced than some of his other workouts, but not something anybody can't do well in a short time.

To do the routine you'll need resistance bands, preferably the kind that you can slip one band on each foot. It's not absolutely necessary to have resistance bands, but you'll get a little more out of it. Using small weights on a lot of the exercises is possible as well.

The bands really help in this particular workout to get a good burn in the shoulders.  There's a lot of squatting, and lunging as usual in Billy Blanks DVDs. To go along with the military theme there are also pushups, and jumping jacks of course. There is some ab work consisting of leg raise scissor exercises. The DVD runs about 55 minutes long.

For me the difficult part was mainly in the shoulders. Again, lots of burning in that area. All of Billy Blanks' DVDs are great workouts for getting your blood pumping, and increasing your kicking flexibility.  It's a lot of fun, and comes in really handy on a rainy day, or when you want more of a cardio workout.

Here's a couple of Billy Blanks' latest Taebo DVDs that have been getting high user ratings at Amazon.

If you're like me and prefer lifting weights as your primary exercise, you should still check into the Tae Bo workouts because with heavy weight lifting only in your workouts you're going to suffer in your flexibility. I'm a firm believer in being well rounded, and this is a great way to stay flexible and improve your balance.

He started weight lifting at age 13. His role model was body builder and Hercules star Steve Reeves. He's won IFBB Mr. America, IFBB Mr. Universe, came second and third in the Mr. Olympia competition, and second in the Masters Olympia. His favorite superheroes as a child were Spider-man and the Hulk of course. Lou Ferrigno Weightlifting Tips
