Review of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Workout DVDJillian Michaels Gallery workout clothing line books DVDs workout equipment video games Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred consists of 3 20 minute workouts. *One 2 minute warm-up Level one's workout contains warm-up, push-ups, squats with shoulder press, jumping jacks, jump rope simulation, reverse crunch, back rows with dumbbells, lunges with dumbbell curl, jogging in place with high kicks, punching, crunch twists, chest flyes, and side lunges with shoulder raises. Level two consists of warm-up with jumping jacks and toe touches, walkout push-ups, back rows while holding squat, high knees, squat thrusts, single leg raise with a crunch, static lunge with a medium grip row, pendulum lunges with hammer curl, oblique twists (jumping twists), skaters, leg raises side to side, double crunches, military presses with single leg extension, chair squat with V raise, plank jacks, double jump rope, plank twists, and cool down. Level three consists of warm-up with arm crosses, high kicks, and jump ropes (no jump rope needed), butt kicks, and knee rotation. The workout starts with walking plank move, then Supermans, mountain climbers, sumo squat jumps, pike crunch, scissor crunches, dumbbell cleans, alternating jumping lunges, punching with dumbbells, butt kicks with dumbbells in hand, dumbbell jumping jacks, sit-ups, walking push-ups, plank rows with leg raises, jump squats, rock star jumps, side plank raises, and then cool down stretches. Obviously, you are going to need small dumbbells to do this DVD, and the more weight you do, the more you get out of it. This video workout is probably not the best for the very beginner, but she does give beginner and advanced versions of each exercise. If you've never worked out in your life, you might want to start out with Taebo. Male or female this workout isn't easy, but that's a good thing. If you do this workout you'll get your money's worth. Jillian really delivers a workout that will push the average person to the limit. If you're a super athlete you just add more weight, and keep going. It works the cardio and develops your muscles at the same time. It's one of my favorite workouts that my wife and I can do together when we can't make it to the gym, and we don't have a lot of time. Worst complaint from the 30 Day Shred is having to listen to Jillian Michaels intro each time you load the DVD. The DVD doesn't allow you to go straight to the workout which is annoying when you've heard the intro 20 times already. Post your opinion of this workout DVD here. Other Articles
